2022 Buick Encore

The 2022 Encore has one trim package available: the Preferred. The Preferred comes with a roof-mounted antenna, body-color door handles, deep-tinted glass, power-and-heated mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, LED daytime running lights, a solar-absorbing windshield, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and front/rear intermittent wipers. An optional power moonroof opens the cabin to the sky.

The Preferred is available in a range of modern paint colors. Exterior paint options include Ebony Twilight, Summit White, Quicksilver, White Frost, Dark Moon Blue, and Cinnabar.

Standard features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, power steering, electronic stability control, traction control, and cruise control. Every ride is smooth and comfortable thanks to the MacPherson strut coil spring front and torsion beam rear suspension. Front-wheel drive is standard. Intelligent all-wheel drive is also available. The all-wheel-drive system monitors the wheels constantly, instantly providing the power where it is needed most.

Front-wheel-drive models boast an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. Preferred models with all-wheel drive are slightly lower, with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

The well-appointed Preferred offers comfortable seating for five adults. Standard comfort features include a six-way power driver's seat, a cargo cover, a rear defogger, power door locks and windows, and carpeted floor mats. The leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel holds easy-to-reach controls for the audio system, Driver Information Center, and cell phones. The Preferred also has Buick's QuietTuning system featuring triple door seals and acoustic laminated glass. QuietTuning blocks road and engine noise, allowing you to enjoy conversation or music while on the road.

The cabin has abundant storage space, including multiple cubbies, a large glove box, and a front passenger under-seat storage area. With all seats occupied, the Preferred provides 18.8 cubic feet of storage space. In addition, the 60/40 split-folding rear bench allows for storage of long or irregularly shaped items. Folding the rear bench flat increases the cargo area to 48.8 cubic feet.

Infotainment features abound in the Encore. Standard amenities include a 4.2-inch Driver Information Center, six-speaker audio, Buick Connected Access, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, OnStar, satellite radio, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
