2022 Buick Enclave

The entry-level Enclave is the Essence. It comes with a hands-free liftgate, keyless entry, and LED headlights. The Premium trim adds to this with 20-inch alloy wheels and a moonroof. The Avenir is the top-level trim. It has unique exterior color options, comes standard with a moonroof, and offers the Avenir Technology package with an adaptive suspension and enhanced headlights. The Avenir also offers an appearance package with upgraded wheels, a unique grille, and Avenir badging.

Power for all Enclave models comes from a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that puts out 310 horsepower. It uses GMC's nine-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. Every trim is eligible for all-wheel drive.

The Enclave is easy to drive and offers a smooth ride. The engine is powerful enough to propel the crossover quickly up to highway speed, and the ride stays comfortable even over uneven pavement. It has a stop-start system that automatically turns the engine off when you stop at a red light to help save fuel, but if you want to turn this off, you can now do so in the 2022 model. When equipped with the available max tow package, the Enclave can tow up to 5,000 pounds, and with the regular tow package, it can tow 1,500 pounds.

Inside, the cabin has three rows and room for up to seven people. Every seat is spacious and comfortable, and the helpful Smart Slide system for the second row makes getting to the back row easy. The Enclave comes standard with leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and heated front seats. The Premium adds a heated second row, ventilation for the front, and a power-adjustable steering column. Choose the Avenir for massaging front seats and upgraded interior trim elements.

There are lots of technology features in the 2022 Enclave. The Essense starts with an 8-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless charging for smartphones, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and USB ports. Bump up to the Premium for a 10-speaker Bose stereo system, a household-style power outlet, and a head-up display. You'll get the added benefit of integrated navigation in the Avenir, which also has an 8-inch digital gauge cluster.

New for the 2022 model year, the Enclave comes standard with a host of advanced safety features. These include a blind-spot monitor, forward collision warning with mitigation, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, and a safety alert seat that vibrates to let the driver know when one of the safety systems activates. The Premium comes with a surround-view camera system and digital rearview camera, and the Avenir has adaptive cruise control.
